Use View Weather to review weather information for itinerary events where supported. This is especially useful for outdoor activities or transport planning.New Event
Use New Event to add an itinerary event. Depending on your permissions, this action may be disabled in read-only situations. An itinerary event can represent activities, travel, meals, accommodation, briefings, or other scheduled parts of the excursion.Calendar Features

Departure and return markers
When the excursion has a departure or return time set on the Overview tab, those times also appear on the Timeline calendar as markers so you can see them next to your itinerary events. Departure and return markers are read-only on the Timeline. If you select a marker, the event modal shows the message:This departure/return marker is read-only in Timeline. Update the time from the Overview tab.To change the time, open the Overview tab and edit the Schedule section. The Timeline updates automatically when you save.
Empty and Loading States
If no itinerary events have been added, the tab shows an empty message. If events are still loading, the tab shows a loading state. If something goes wrong, an error message appears.Common Workflows
Build the excursion schedule
Add each major part of the day as an event, including departure, arrival, activities, meals, transitions, and return travel.Check timing gaps
Use calendar views to spot missing times, overlaps, or parts of the itinerary that may need more detail.Review travel and conditions
Use map and weather views to support planning decisions, especially for outdoor or multi-location excursions.Itinerary timeline in AI chat
When you ask the AI assistant about an excursion’s schedule, it can render an itinerary timeline view directly inside the chat panel. The timeline appears whenever the assistant runs the Itinerary or Travel-time check tools, so you do not need to leave the chat to review the schedule. The timeline shows:- Each visible itinerary event with its title, time range, type, status, location, vendor summary, and notes.
- A Travel window between consecutive events, with the scheduled gap, buffers, available travel time, route time, and distance.
- A status badge on each travel window — Enough time, Short by [time], Needs location data, or Scheduled gap — so you can spot tight transitions at a glance.
- Total distance and total duration when the assistant has run a travel-time check.
- A summary of any limitations the assistant hit while reading itinerary data.
Tips
- Add enough detail for staff to follow the day without needing a separate schedule.
- Review the timeline before finalising transport or publishing parent-facing information.
- Use the agenda view when you want a simple list of itinerary events.
